Porta Posnania is a place that, from the beginning of its existence, has been inextricably in harmony with the surrounding nature, the river and the entire ecosystem of the Cybina valley. We consider the river to be an extremely important element of Poznań's heritage, which we get to know by appreciating and working to protect it. In 2020, we launched a program to protect the environment and prevent climate change. Under the slogan #HeritageForTheClimate, we organize events addressed to the general heritage of recipients regarding climate change, anthropopressure in the city, habitats and connections between heritage and cultural heritage. Do we cooperate with activists and other entities working for ecology? We also introduce good practices in institutions.
The main goal of the project is environmental protection and hidden resource management. The entire investment is planned in the area near Porta Posnania, in the river valley next to the Porta Posnania amphitheater. The space around Porta Posnania influences ecological education and information and educational activities in the field of environmental protection. As part of the project: Experimental Heritage Garden, River Eco-education Garden and Ecological Educational Path, teaching materials and educational website of the project.
